What to do in Corfu when it rains?

Corfu has a lot of activities to offer even if it’s raining outside. Here are some ideas:

Visit the Corfu Archaeological Museum or the Museum of Asian Art

Corfu Archaeological Museum

It was founded in 1962 and is housed in the Palace of St. Michael and St. George, a neoclassical building that was constructed in the early 19th century. The museum’s collection contains artifacts from various periods of Corfu’s history, including the Prehistoric, Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine periods.

Corfu Museum of Asain Art

It was founded in 1928 by the Greek diplomat Gregorios Manos, who was stationed in Asia for many years and developed a passion for Asian art and culture. The museum is housed in the Palace of St. Michael and St. George, a neoclassical building that was constructed in the early 19th century and also houses the Corfu Archaeological Museum.

The museum’s collection contains over 15,000 artifacts from various countries in Asia, including China, Japan, India, and Southeast Asia. The exhibits cover a wide range of artistic styles and mediums, including sculpture, painting, textiles, ceramics, and metalwork. Some of the most notable exhibits in the museum include a 2nd-century BCE Indian lion capital, a 13th-century Japanese Zen painting, and a collection of Chinese pottery from the Tang and Song dynasties.

Take a cooking class to learn how to prepare traditional Corfiot dishes.

There are many classes in Corfu where yo ucan learn how to cook some tradtional meals. Imagine going back to your country and being able to surprise your friends and family with a perfect moussaka? Here in Ambelonas vineyard , they have much to offer including cooking classes!

Go to the cinema and catch a movie.

I don’t reccommend this, but there is a Cinema in Corfu, so it is also an idea!

Enjoy a coffee

Greeks will go for a coffee and sit there for hours. Be like a Greek on a rainy day! There are many place inside or under umbrellas where the rain won’t get you.  Liston, in Corfu Town is probably the most popular. Also, Dolce Cafe, in Lakones.  A view from high up of one of the most beautiful places in Corfu, Paleokastritsa.

Visit a Winery

Ambelonas is also has a wine tasting experience. There is also one close to Liapades, HERE

Go Bowling!

Up north in the village Saint George, there is a bowling alley. Not many people know about it but it is inside and close to the beach! Bowling Billards Bar

As you can see there are some good options for activities in Corfu even it is raining. There are definietely more like an olive oil tour, or even going to the Mon Repo Museum. If you don’t like any of these ideas, message me and i will help you find something!
