Is it better to rent a Scooter or a Car in Corfu?

Whether to rent a scooter or a car in Corfu, Greece ultimately depends on your personal preferences and travel needs. Here are some factors to consider when making your decision:

SCOOTER

  • Budget: Generally, renting a scooter is cheaper than renting a car, and it can be a good option if you’re on a tight budget. However, keep in mind that you’ll also need to factor in the cost of gas and any potential parking fees. Average cost of renting a scooter is from 25 euros to 30 euros for 50 cc and 30 euros to 35 euros for a 125 cc. They are great on gas getting around 2.5l/100km. So chances are you will fill it up once and be good for the week!
  • Traffic and parking: Corfu’s roads can be narrow and congested, especially during the high season. Therefore, if you are an experienced scooter driver scooters are often easier to park and navigate through traffic.
  • Experience and skill level: Riding a scooter requires a certain level of experience and skill, and it may not be suitable for everyone. If you’re not confident in your abilities, a car may be a safer option.
  • An Experience: ask anyone that has been to Corfu. The best thing about Corfu is the nature. Riding a scooter with the air blowing on you face through the villages, nice views and curvy roads is a unforggetable experience.

Car

  • Comfort and convenience: If you’re traveling with a group or have a lot of luggage, a car may be a more comfortable and convenient option. Cars offer more space and are generally easier to handle than scooters.
  • Experience and skill level: Riding a scooter requires a certain level of experience and skill, and it may not be suitable for everyone. If you’re not confident in your abilities, a car may be a safer option.
  •  Traffic: Corfu’s roads can be narrow and congested, especially during the high season. If you’re not used to driving in such conditions, a scooter may be more stressful, challenging and dangerous.

Overall, if you’re comfortable riding a scooter, it can be a fun and affordable way to explore Corfu’s beaches and villages. However, if you’re traveling with a group or plan on exploring the island beyond the main tourist areas, a car may be a more practical choice. However, a group trip traveling on scooters, is known to be quite an experience!

Where should you rent a Scooter from?

There are multiple places all through out the island to rent.  Usually people choose the closest one. However, My Corfu Scooters is starting a different trend of renting scooters, they will be on the trip with you guiding you in whichever way you’d like. They are new to the rental scooters industry, but with Corfu and tourism are very experienced. They know Corfu better than the rest and are people who generally want to see you enjoy Corfu’s beauty.
