Kerkyralines-igoumenitsa, Diapontia islands
While in Corfu you have many options on traveling to different islets or places close by. There is of course mainland Greece. A 2 hour ferry and you are in Igoumenitsa. From here you can go all over Greece. The Diapontia islands which are above Corfu are a little bit harder to reach.
There is Ereikousa, Othoni, and Mathraki. KerkyraLines is a ferry that goes from Corfu Town to these islands, but not everyday. There is also another smaller ferry that departs from Agios Stefanos that goes to the Diapontia Islands. This is also every other day.
They are all beautiful untouched places to visit, but getting there and getting back is not too easy so make sure you plan well.
There are 2 ferries that go to Igoumenitsa (mainland Greece) Kerkyralines, that we have already discussed. Also, Kerkyraseaways. They interlink so if you can’t find the time you want with one it is very possible you will with the other.
Aspiotis lines is the other ferry company that goes to the Diapontia islands. However, this ferry company is at the Agios Stefanos Harbor on the west coast
Paxos has got very popular the past few years, so Joy Cruises offers ferries so you can visit!
Another ferry line that goes to Paxos is Kameila lines. Check out their site for the timetables.
Another ferry that goes to Albania is Finikas Lines. Like the other a quick 30-45 minutes and you are there.
They also offer some tours.
Ionian seaways- Albania – If you would like to take a visit to Saranda in Albania then Ionian seaways is one of your options. It is a quick 45 minute ride. The only down side is that since Albania is a different country and also not in the EU, passport control may take a while.
